Welcome to our “Spiritual Jumpstart” for new and
growing believers in Jesus Christ at the
Yreka Church of the Nazarene!

This new series will begin soon. The first class will be at 9:00am, during Sunday School, beginning February 5th.

  • Here are our 4 STEPPING STONES:
  •  Step #1:  “Prospective Members Class”                            (Membership)

This is normally a two week class, led by Pastor Jeff during Sunday School, which explains the meaning, benefits and responsibilities of church membership.  Part of this class includes taking a simple “Spiritual Gifts Inventory.”

  •  Step #2:  “Understanding the Basics”                                (Magnify)

This class explores several of the basics of the Christian faith, including the importance of baptism and Communion; as well as understanding the reality of temptation and how to overcome it.

  • Step #3:  “The Habits of a Passionate Follower”               (Maturity)

This class will look at four important habits believers need to develop on their journey toward spiritual maturity:  Daily Quiet Time;  Prayer;  Tithing and Giving;  and Fellowship.

  •    Step #4:  “The Character of a Follower”                           (Ministry)

This is a 5 session small group experience that helps you understand and put into action the internal character qualities that should drive your life as a disciple of Jesus Christ.

Life Line Screening is the leading provider of community-based preventive health
screenings in the US. Currently, in neighborhoods like ours, Life Line Screening serves
approximately 1 million people each year, adding to the 6 million previously screened
since their beginning in 1993. Cardiovascular disease is the #1 cause of death in the
United States of both men and women-and a leading cause of permanent disability.

Consider the facts*:

4 out of 5 stroke victims had no apparent warning signs
80% of strokes can be prevented

You may think that your physician would order these screenings if they were
necessary. However, insurance companies typically will not pay for screenings unless
a person has suffered symptoms. Unfortunately, for so many people, the first sign
of a stroke is a stroke. That is why having a Life Line screening is so important to
keep you and your loved ones healthy and independent.

We encourage you to talk to your physician about Life Line Screening. We are
confident that he or she will agree with hundreds of hospitals that have partnered
with Life Line Screening and suggest that you participate in this health event.

Please take a minute to read this information about these quick and painless tests. Life
Line Screening is coming to our neighborhood for one day only and appointments are
limited, so please call 1-800-679-5192.

Wishing you the best,

Friends in Health

p.s. Life Line Screening has preventive screenings available coast-to-coast. Tell your
friends, neighbors and loved ones about these life saving screenings and encourage
them to call1-800-679-S192 today. You may just save a life.
