Our online service that will make it possible for you to make donations to The Yreka Church of the Nazarene is now working. There is a “Donate” widget in the far right column for your convenience. This widget will appear on any page you visit at the YNAZ site. Or you can use the “Give Online” button at the bottom of this post.
Our thanks go out to Mike Madden for all the work he did to make this possible.
Crusader Choir and Orchestra is the Northwest Nazarene University’s flagship ensemble for music in the churches. Under the direction of Dr. Philip Miller, this auditioned ensemble of around 80 students performs extensively throughout the region and internationally. Their dynamic concerts feature a variety of music from hymn settings, contemporary Christian, classical choral/orchestra repertoire, and a cappella settings. High demands of excellence are placed on this group and the students are outstanding ambassadors for the Lord, NNU, and music.
As part of their May tour, the Yreka Church of the Nazarene is proud to host this incredible group for one night.
May 12 at 7:00 PM
As the date gets closer, we will post more information.
This concert gives YNAZ a great opportunity to be of service… WE NEED YOUR HELP!
We are going to have to house about 80 students that night, so we’re going to need plenty of people to help us! It’s the biggest group we’ve ever tried to take care of. We will be feeding them dinner and breakfast at the church, but host families will need to provide a sack lunch for their students.
If you are interested in helping with housing please call the church office.
Navigating our way through life is a difficult task. With media and technology trying to steer us and guide us through the rapidly changing and secularizing culture, it can be nearly impossible. Yet, as Christian parents, it is our responsibility to see that our children come out on the other side as well grounded followers of Jesus.
Yet, how do we accomplish that? How do we help them learn to make the choices that will not only help them succeed, but will help them establish a lasting faith in God and a life of integrity?
With Doug Fields and Jonathan McKee’s book Should I Just Smash My Kid’s Phone? as a guide we will spend the weekend learning and discussing how to make it happen.
